Chief Advisor's Message
Dear Members and Partners of the Asia Economic Development Committee,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Yukio Hatoyama, and I had the honor of serving as the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan.
I deeply respect Chairman Yoon and fully support his initiative to integrate the former Asia-Pacific Research Institute into the newly launched Asia Economic Development Committee (AEDC), with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation with developing countries, the Middle East, and especially African nations at the center of Korea–China–Japan corporate collaboration. I especially welcome the Committee’s focus not only on economic cooperation but also on mutual growth through the transfer of new technologies.
As a dynamic organization attuned to the needs of the 21st-century digital era, AEDC will, through the collaboration of Korea, Japan, and China, contribute to the economic development of the Middle East, East Asia, and Africa, and actively engage with countries in need of its support to help revitalize their economies. Furthermore, I expect that the cooperation between China and Japan, and between Korea and China, will strengthen international corporate competitiveness and create momentum to enhance ASEAN’s economic cooperation. I believe Chairman Yoon’s leadership will be of great benefit not only to the economic development of developing countries but also to education and cultural initiatives.
With great expectations for the future role of AEDC, I will also do my utmost as Senior Advisor to devote my abilities to this important mission.
May God’s blessings be upon your families and your endeavors.
the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan
Chief Advisor of Asia Economic Development Committee
Yukio Hatoyama
